Terms of Service
Last updated: October 7, 2026
These terms cover your use of PrintProof, run by an individual based in Ontario, Canada, trading as AI House Labs (“we”, “us”). By connecting a Patreon account, requesting a certificate or otherwise using PrintProof, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
The service
PrintProof lets creators on Patreon offer their members a commercial print certificate. A creator connects a Patreon campaign and chooses the tiers that include their commercial license. Members then request a certificate; we check their membership with Patreon and, if it qualifies, issue a PDF certificate with a QR code. Anyone can scan the code to see whether the certificate is currently valid.
PrintProof is an independent service. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Patreon.
Accounts and eligibility
- Creators must be at least 18 and authorised to manage the Patreon campaign they connect.
- Patrons must use their own Patreon account and meet Patreon’s own age requirements.
- You sign in through Patreon and are responsible for keeping your Patreon account secure.
Creators’ responsibilities
- You grant the license, not us. Any right to make or sell prints comes from you and your license terms. PrintProof only records and checks eligibility based on the tiers you choose.
- Keep your eligible tiers and license wording accurate, and tell your members what the license covers.
- You must have the rights to anything you upload or link, such as banners and logos, and it must be lawful.
- You remain bound by Patreon’s terms and are responsible for your relationship with your members.
What a certificate means
- A certificate records that the named member held an eligible membership when it was issued, for the period shown. The verification page shows the status based on Patreon’s data at the time of the check, which may be up to about an hour old.
- A certificate doesn’t transfer any intellectual property, doesn’t cover digital file redistribution, and doesn’t confirm that any particular physical item is genuine or covered. Buyers should match the seller, creator, model and license terms.
- Creators can revoke certificates. A revoked certificate stays revoked.
- Certificates are personal. Don’t alter, forge, transfer or present someone else’s certificate as your own.
Plans, billing and cancellation
- Free start: each creator account includes 3 free certificates with no time limit and no credit card.
- Paid plans: Starter, for up to 15 patrons with an active certificate, at $3 per month or $30 per year; and Unlimited, for any number of patrons, at $5 per month or $50 per year. Prices are in US dollars, plus any applicable taxes.
- Payment: plans are paid in advance through Stripe and renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- Upgrades: plans can be upgraded, not downgraded. An upgrade is charged straight away, with credit for the unused part of your current period. Yearly plans can’t switch back to monthly.
- Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your plan stays active until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Refunds: payments are non-refundable and we don’t refund partial periods, except where the law requires it.
- When a plan ends or a limit is reached: certificates already issued stay valid until their end date, but new certificates can’t be issued until you choose or upgrade a plan. If a payment fails, paid access may end.
- Discount codes apply as described when offered, have no cash value and may expire.
- Price changes apply from your next renewal, and we will email you at least 30 days before.
Acceptable use
Don’t misuse PrintProof. In particular, don’t: create false or altered certificates; try to get certificates you aren’t entitled to; get around plan limits or rate limits; probe for other members’ information; interfere with or overload the service; or access it by automated means other than opening verification links.
Patreon, Stripe and other services
PrintProof depends on Patreon for login and membership data and on Stripe for payments. Their own terms apply to your use of them. If Patreon’s or Stripe’s services change or are unavailable, parts of PrintProof may not work.
Availability and changes
We work to keep PrintProof available but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service, we will give paying creators reasonable notice.
Ending your use
You can stop using PrintProof at any time. Creators can cancel their plan, revoke access in Patreon and ask us to delete their account by emailing patreoncertificate@aihouselabs.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk.
Disclaimers
PrintProof is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We are not a party to any sale between members and buyers, or to any license between creators and members.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to PrintProof is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US $50.
Indemnity
Creators agree to cover claims brought against us that arise from their license terms, their content or their breach of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that apply to you.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, email creators before they take effect. Continuing to use PrintProof after that means you accept the updated terms.
